The Good Life Center Opens for the Season Thursday, June 21
Forest Farm, the final homestead of Helen and Scott Nearing, the prominent back to the land proponents and authors of “The Good Life” will open for the season Thursday, June 21. You can tour the Nearing’s stone house with their extensive library, stone walled gardens, greenhouse, and grounds. Visitors are welcome to bring a lunch and picnic on the grounds. The house and gardens are tended by the 2018 Resident Stewards, Carole Crawford and Chris Morrison, and are open Thursday through Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM through Labor Day or by appointment. There is no charge to visit but donations are gratefully accepted. Books by the Nearings are for sale.

Other speakers will include Melanie and Josh Wehrwein, Noel Paul Stookey, Greg Joly, Dr. Dana Ward, Margot Kelly, Eliot Coleman, Hector Sapien and Dr. Kevin Murphy in collaboration with the Brooksville Library.
